Context:
For my project at the “Bieler Fototage”, I accompanied sprayers on their path to art. My aim was to capture the so-called “secondary art” photographically. The pictures were taken in warehouses, on railroad tracks and in urban spaces.


Scope:
I have documented various facets of this world: the long wait, the careful preparation and the actual painting. With my pictures, I wanted to visualize the intensity, dedication and special charm of this art form.

The result is a series of images characterized by nocturnal actions. Some of the shots provide exclusive insights into storage rooms and similar hidden places, giving the series a special authenticity and intensity.
